This year saw the largest turnout for Wycombe Pride celebrations so far, with hundreds of attendees coming together to celebrate the diversity of the LGBT+ community. The celebration began with a march, a number of stalls from local organisations, and later included live performances.
The event was a resounding success, with over £1,100 raised for charities Terrence Higgins Trust and Mermaids. Terrence Higgins Trust is the UK’s leading HIV and sexual health charity, supporting people living with HIV throughout the country. You can find out more about the work they do at www.tht.org.uk
Mermaids is one of the UK’s leading LGBTQ+ charities working to support transgender, non-binary and gender-diverse children and young people and their families. Find out more on their website www.mermaidsuk.org.uk
We hope all those who attended had an enjoyable time, and we look forward to celebrating again at the next Wycombe Pride. If you missed the event, or would like to keep celebrating, you may be interested in going to Milton Keynes Pride Festival on Saturday 10th September.
