Happy Pride Month 2019!

June marks the start of LGBT+ Pride Month 2019 – A month of celebrating the history and achievements of LGBT+ individuals worldwide. The month is also a time for raising awareness of the LGBT+ issues faced within the community on a day-to-day basis.

2019’s Pride Month marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots, which was the start of Gay Liberation movement, and the following years since then have seen an increase in acceptance and legal rights for the LGBT+ community.

With the majority of events happening in and around London you can find a list here: https://prideinlondon.org/events/ which shows what is happening throughout the month, as well as the main Pride Parade happening at the beginning of July.  Local events, such as Oxford Pride, can be found here: https://sites.google.com/oxford-pride.org.uk/welcome/home.

Hertfordshire Pride will be taking place on the 31st August 2019 in Cassiobury Park in Watford. More details can be found here:  http://www.hertspride.co.uk

Milton Keynes Pride, sponsored by Pink Punters Nightclub, will be hosting its annual pride event on Saturday 14th September at Campbell Park. Details can be found on the Pride MK website here: http://pridemk.org.uk/
