International Transgender Day of Visibility

Image of person holding a blue, pink and white transgender badgeToday we’re celebrating International Transgender Day of Visibility, raising awareness and marking our appreciation of trans and non-binary people.

The 2021 UK Census’s had a question about gender identity. According to the responses, around 262,000 people identified as transgender. Of this figure, 48,000 identified as trans men, 48,000 identified as trans women, 30,000 identified as non-binary, and 18,000 wrote in a different gender identity.
